National Grid is hiring a Work Support Supervisor for our Electric Operations department in Syracuse, NY. You will oversee and coordinate a team responsible for critical support activities that keep electric service safe and reliable across Upstate New York, guiding priorities, optimizing resources, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Business Administration or related field and/or equivalent supervisory experience.
• 3-5 years of qualifying supervisory experience (supervisor, project management, team lead, etc.).
• Planning skills with ability to prioritize assignments.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint).
• Knowledge of company policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, safety codes and labor agreements.
• Judgement and creative problem-solving incl. negotiation and conflict resolution.
• Forward thinking with innovative ideas.
• Ability to track data, perform data analysis, and report on metrics.
• Strong oral and written communication; demonstrates performance excellence.
• Clerical support, scheduling, operations, work coordination, and distribution design a plus.
• Knowledge of local labor agreements.
• Ability to travel to various NY locations; valid driver's license required.

Responsabilités

• Assign, plan, schedule, coordinate and audit daily Work Support activities.
• Supervise completion of mandated forms, reports and documentation for compliance.
• Monitor backlog to ensure timely completion of work.
• Review and approve time entries.
• Support and oversee requirements and related activities for Electric Operations.
• Drive standardization of processes across Electric Services operations.
• Leverage metrics to drive performance and continuous improvement.
• Support emergency/confirming work and proper closing in systems.
• Supervise support during storm emergencies.
• Foster a safe and inclusive working environment.
