National Grid is seeking a Work Support Supervisor for our Electric Operations team in Syracuse, NY. This leadership role oversees a team responsible for critical support activities to ensure safe, reliable electric service across Upstate New York.

You will guide daily work priorities, optimize resources, and foster collaboration with internal partners and external stakeholders to drive operational excellence and service to communities we serve. This role offers growth within a dynamic utility.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Business Administration or related fields required.
• 3-5 years experience as supervisor, project lead or similar preferred.
• Planning skills to prioritize assignments.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint).
• Knowledge of company policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, safety codes and labor agreements.
• Judgement and creative problem-solving including negotiation and conflict resolution.
• Forward thinker with innovative ideas.
• Ability to track data, data analysis and report on metrics.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrate performance excellence.
• Knowledge of clerical support, scheduling, operations, and distribution design is a plus.
• Knowledge of local labor agreements.
• Ability to travel to various locations throughout New York; valid driver's license.

Responsabilités

• Assign, plan, schedule, coordinate and audit daily activities of Work Support personnel.
• Supervise and review completion of mandated forms, reports and documentation for compliance.
• Monitor work backlog to ensure timely completion.
• Oversee management of some requirements and related activities for Electric Operations.
• Support standardization of processes across Electric Services operations.
• Drive performance of Work Support using metrics and continuous improvement.
• Assist and support completion of emergency/confirming work and proper closing in systems.
• Supervise and monitor support activities during storm emergencies.
• Create and foster a safe and inclusive working environment.
