Job summary

Hi-Tek Manufacturing, Inc. in Mason, OH seeks an EDM Applications Engineer to develop and improve EDM parameters, translate prints into shop instructions, and train Operators on the floor. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 3–5 years related experience or equivalent.
• Comfortable with fractions, percentages, ratios in shop use.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Experience with Siemens NX software.
• Experience with Mitsubishi and/or Sodick EDM machines.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve EDM parameters for new and existing projects.
• Apply G and M code programming knowledge to support project improvement and development.
• Help Manufacturing Engineers translate drawings into precise manufacturing operations and quality instructions for Operators.
• Train and share EDM process knowledge with Operators on the shop floor.
• Set up and run machines and processes to drawings and specs; coordinate on-site OEM training.
• Participate in proactive team efforts to reach departmental and company goals.
• Take ownership of new and different requests, looking for ways to add value.
