Job summary

Swift Placement & Consulting seeks an Applications Engineer to support sales in IL and CT through test cuts, demonstrations, and training. You will program machines using CAD/CAM, conduct on-site and off-site classes, and provide ongoing technical assistance to customers on setup, programming, and operations.

The role emphasizes hands-on EDM experience, strong customer service, and ethical engagement with clients, with occasional travel to industry events and customer sites.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of hands-on Sinker EDM and Wire EDM experience or related machining experience.
• CAD/CAM training preferred.
• Excellent customer service and ethical conduct with customers.

Responsibilities

• Program machine via CAD/CAM software to perform test cuts and generate test reports.
• Perform machine demonstrations to customers, including programming and results analysis.
• Provide on-site and off-site operation training to new customers.
• Provide ongoing technical support on machine setup, programming and operations.
• Use analysis/testing to help customers identify machine problems and solutions.
• Coordinate weekly application work schedule with Application Manager.
• Participate in industry trade shows.
