Job summary

Syneos Health is seeking a Sr Clinical Project Manager for Early Phase to lead Phase I studies from startup to closeout, coordinating sponsors, internal teams, vendors and sites. You will drive timelines, budgets and risk management while ensuring GCP/ICH compliance and audit readiness.

The role requires strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced CRO environment with travel about 25%.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of clinical research experience with progressive project management responsibilities.
• Experience managing Phase I and/or early-phase clinical trials.
• Strong knowledge of GCP, ICH guidelines, and global regulatory requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of assigned early-phase trials from startup through closeout.
• Serve as the primary liaison between sponsors, internal teams, vendors, and study sites.
• Develop and manage timelines, milestones, resources, risks, finances, and deliverables.
• Ensure projects are executed per protocols, contract, and plans; maintain quality and timelines.
• Provide regular status updates to clients and senior leadership; manage cross-functional teams.
