Job summary

The YMCA of Metro Atlanta is hiring an Early Learning Lead Teacher for all locations in Atlanta, GA. You will supervise classroom staff and design developmentally appropriate activities for children ages six weeks to three years, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates hold a CDA in Infant & Toddler Education or higher, with a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education preferred, and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications

• CDA (Infant & Toddler) or higher required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Experience with early childhood education practices is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop classroom associates and manage day-to-day operations.
• Plan and implement learning experiences for infants and toddlers.
• Use developmentally appropriate practices inclusive of children with disabilities.
• Meet federal, state, local, and program regulations and timelines.
• Conduct developmental assessments and communicate with families.
• Provide hands-on supervision indoors and outdoors to ensure safety.
• Redirect challenging behaviors positively and calmly.
• Prepare lesson plans, materials, and a safe learning environment.
• Organize classroom spaces into functional, recognizable areas.
• Attend required meetings and ongoing professional development.
