Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta is seeking an Early Learning Teacher to provide safe, enriching care for children six weeks to three years old under the supervision of the Program Director. You will co‑teach, supervise classroom staff, and implement activities that support literacy, social-emotional growth, and motor development.

This role requires a CDA in Infants/Toddlers, strong communication, and the ability to perform physical tasks; a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education is preferred.

Qualifications

• CDA Credential in Infant and Toddler Education or higher required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks including kneeling, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop classroom associates and manage day-to-day operations.
• Plan and implement learning experiences for intellectual and physical development.
• Apply developmentally appropriate practices inclusive of children with disabilities.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local regulations and program timelines.
• Document observations of the whole child and milestones.
• Maintain a professional, family- and child-centered demeanor.
