Job summary

YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta is seeking an Early Learning Teacher to provide safe, nurturing care for children aged six weeks to three years at the Arthur M. Blank Family Youth YMCA Early Learning Center.

Under supervision of the Program Director, you will plan developmentally appropriate lessons, supervise classroom staff, and ensure compliance with health, safety and licensing guidelines. This role emphasizes inclusive practices and family-centered care.

Qualifications

• CDA in Infant and Toddler Education or higher.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to perform physical duties up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise and develop classroom associates and manage day-to-day operations.
• Plan and implement learning experiences that advance intellectual and physical development.
• Implement developmentally appropriate practices inclusive of children with disabilities.
• Meet all regulations and timelines for compliance, documentation, and licensure.
• Monitor development and complete assessments, parent conferences, and home visits.
• Supervise activities indoors and outdoors and redirect inappropriate behaviors positively.
