Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta is seeking a Preschool Lead Teacher to deliver a high-quality early childhood education program at the Arthur M. Blank Family Youth YMCA Early Learning Center.

You will implement the program’s goals, supervise classroom staff, and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment. Responsibilities include planning engaging activities, supporting literacy and math readiness, observing development, documenting progress, and partnering with families.

Qualifications

• Must possess a CDA, TCC, AA degree in Early Childhood Education or higher credential.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Transcript and documentation to support credentials.
• Experience working with children in an organized setting.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise and develop classroom associates and manage day-to-day operations in the classroom.
• Plan and implement learning experiences that advance intellectual and physical development.
• Improve readiness for school by developing literacy, phonemic, and print awareness.
• Establish and maintain a safe, healthy learning environment.
• Meet all job-related regulations for compliance, implementation, and documentation.
