Job summary

The YMCA of Metro Atlanta is seeking a Pre-K Lead Teacher to plan and deliver age-appropriate instruction for four-year-olds across multiple Georgia locations, preparing children for kindergarten. You will lead a classroom team, implement the Y Early Learning Curriculum, conduct developmental assessments, and partner with families to support each child’s growth.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field is required.
Knowledge of project-based curriculum such as Creative Curriculum is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Enthusiasm for working with Pre-K students and families.

Responsibilities

Plan, implement, and evaluate Pre-K and Early Learning instruction for four-year-olds.
Lead a classroom team and model professional behavior aligned with YMCA values.
Maintain attendance records, complete assessments, and document progress.
Ensure compliance with Bright from the Start guidelines and licensure rules.
Engage families through conferences, home visits, and ongoing communication.
Create an inclusive, developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
