Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta is seeking a Head Start Lead Teacher to oversee day-to-day operation of services for children ages 3–5, under the supervision of the Center Manager. You will supervise classroom staff, plan literacy- and early math-focused activities, and ensure compliance with program guidelines while fostering a safe, inclusive learning environment.

You will conduct observations, lead parent conferences, document progress, and coordinate family involvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• PDS documentation, transcripts, and credential proofs.
• Ability to meet physical requirements to supervise children up to 50 lbs.

• Directly supervise classroom associates and manage day-to-day operations.
• Plan and implement learning experiences advancing intellectual and physical development.
