Job summary

TEAM is seeking a Head Teacher in Connecticut to lead a classroom of 3 educators, tailor curriculum, and guide IEP/IFSP goals to support each child's readiness. You will foster a safe, engaging environment where children learn through play, collaborate with families and staff, and participate in ongoing professional development within a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent credential and 2+ years of experience with infants

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent credential.
• 2+ years working with infants and toddlers.
• Knowledge of Early Head Start Performance Standards and School Readiness goals.
• Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Tailor curriculum, daily routines, and IEP/IFSP goals for each child.
• Foster a safe, healthy environment for play, learning and growth.
• Guide a classroom team of 3 educators to meet goals.
• Build strong relationships with families, co-educators and support staff.
• Observe children weekly and shape responsive instruction.
• Attend trainings, meetings, and events; participate in coaching models.
