Job summary

Seattle YMCA is seeking a Lead Teacher for our ECEAP classroom at Bellevue/Redmond. You will develop engaging lesson plans, foster a nurturing, child-centered learning environment, and guide staff and volunteers in delivering high-quality early childhood education.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Experience working with children in the same age group.
• Completion of STARS-required training.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate activities within the curriculum.
• Direct the program to fit the needs and interests of all children.
• Supervise a group of children to ensure health, safety and positive experiences.
• Provide guidance to staff/volunteers and oversee activities.
• Maintain daily reports and parent communication including newsletters and conferences.
• Follow YMCA policies, including safety and abuse prevention procedures.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
