Job summary

Seattle YMCA in Redmond is seeking a full-time Early Education Teacher for the ECEAP classroom to provide a high-quality educational experience for children and families. You will collaborate with the Lead Teacher to implement engaging activities and supervise groups of children in accordance with program requirements.

The ideal candidate holds a CDA, has experience with preschoolers, and will complete required STARS training and background checks.

Qualifications

• CDA credential required and experience with young children.
• Completion of STARS training and MERIT background check.
• Pre-employment TB tests and MMR vaccination required.

Responsibilities

• Implement developmentally appropriate activities aligned with YMCA curriculum.
• Supervise children to ensure health, safety and positive experiences.
• Complete child observations with Lead Teacher for assessments.
• Communicate with families and participate in conferences as needed.
• Maintain classroom organization, decor and learning environment.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
