Job summary

Seattle YMCA is seeking an Early Education Teacher to work full-time at our Redmond location. You will collaborate with the Lead Teacher to implement engaging activities and supervise children in a caring, supportive environment.

The role emphasizes building strong relationships with families, maintaining documentation, and adhering to state requirements while contributing to a collaborative team with access to excellent resources.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 12 Early Childhood Education credits completed or expected within five years.
• Experience working with children in the same age group as those supervised.
• Pre-employment TB tests and MMR vaccination; background check required.

Responsibilities

• Implement developmentally appropriate activities aligned with the YMCA curriculum.
• Supervise a group of children to ensure health, safety and positive experiences.
• Complete individual child observations with Lead Teacher for assessments.
