Job summary

Snipps Heating & Air Conditioning in Montrose, CO is seeking an experienced Lead Mini Split Installer to lead residential ductless and multi-zone mini-split installations on the Western Slope. You will run installations from start to finish, direct a helper or apprentice, and coordinate cross-cover with furnaces, ACs, and heat pumps when needed.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of hands-on HVAC experience, EPA 608 certification, and familiarity with wiring diagrams and manufacturer manuals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on HVAC installation experience.
• Experience with ductless mini-split and multi-zone systems.
• EPA Section 608 certification is required.
• NATE certification and/or manufacturer training is preferred.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and installation manuals.

Responsibilities

• Lead mini-split installations: install indoor/outdoor units, line sets, insulation, penetrations, condensate drainage.
• Commission systems: evacuate and charge refrigerant lines, wiring, startup and commissioning.
• Lead the crew: direct a helper or apprentice, assign tasks, and coach on-site.
• Cross-cover: install/service furnaces, air conditioners and heat pumps as needed.
• Work with customers: explain operation and maintenance, represent Snipps professionally.
• Complete documentation: maintenance of install checklists, permits, photos, inventory.
• Maintain quality: follow manufacturer requirements and Colorado codes.
