MR. AIR NYC in New York City is seeking an experienced Lead HVAC Installer to independently lead ductless mini-split, heat-pump, and related HVAC installations across NYC.

This senior field role requires leading a crew, solving difficult jobsite conditions, maintaining high workmanship, and mentoring less-experienced installers. The position is based in Brooklyn with residential and light-commercial projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years HVAC installation experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with ductless mini-split and heat-pump systems.
• EPA 608 certification; universal certification preferred.
• Ability to lead crews and communicate professionally.
• Ability to read manufacturer instructions and project plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation crews from arrival through commissioning and handoff.
• Review project scope, equipment, drawings, routing, access and readiness.
• Assign tasks based on crew skills and supervision level.
• Identify scope variances and escalate before changes.
• Install and supervise ductless mini-split, heat-pump, and related systems.
• Verify system operation and complete project documentation.
