Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) – Martin - Residential Care in Mexia, TX seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) IV Lead/Charge DSP for night, morning and evening shifts. The Lead coordinates habilitation and behavior plans, oversees staff, and ensures accurate documentation in a state-supported living center setting.

Telework is not eligible; up to 5% travel may be required. Responsibilities include on-the-job training, mentorship, and leading DSP staff to meet individual

Qualifications

• One (1) year experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP).
• Experience implementing behavior programs or assisting people with intellectual developmental disabilities with activities of daily living.
• Experience completing documentation or writing reports.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate habilitation and rehabilitation, behavior management, crisis intervention, and treatment programs.
• Assign staff and ensure engagement and supervision according to plans.
• Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to new DSPs and document progress.
• Lead DSP staff and ensure safety and daily documentation across shifts.
