Job summary

Seattle Parks and Recreation seeks a Drainage & Wastewater Lead Worker to oversee crews and perform skilled journey-level work on sewer and drainage systems. The role coordinates field activities, interprets maps, and ensures safety and efficiency in daily operations.

Work includes CCTV inspections, equipment operation, and leading teams on a 4-day, 10-hour Day Shift (06:00–16:30). Applicants should have CDL-B, a flagging certificate, and wastewater experience.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in wastewater collection systems construction, repair and maintenance.
• Valid WA CDL B license with Tanker Endorsement and Air Brake restriction removed.
• Flagging certificate.
• WWCII certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise DWW Collection Workers in field.
• Ensure safety per OSHA, WISHA, SPR policies.
• Interpret sewer maps and plans; document conditions.
• Operate CCTV inspection and related equipment.
• Maintain time sheets and training plans for staff.
• Respond to emergencies and manage work orders.
