Job summary

Cencora is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to lead one or more complex projects involving design, build, and improvement of distribution facilities and processes. You will work with the Project Director to define scope, budget, and schedules, coordinating internal teams and external partners to deliver on time and within budget.

The role calls for a strong engineering or industrial background, 7+ years of PM experience, and the ability to travel up to half the time.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a project manager, project engineer or related occupation.
• Experience managing automation or construction projects exceeding $5MM per project.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Experience planning and tracking projects using project management software.
• Experience developing and tracking project costs.
• Six-Sigma/Lean/Kaizen knowledge is beneficial.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, warehouse design, and warehouse and business systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop project charter with Project Director outlining requirements and scope.
• Assist in preparing capital expenditure requests for projects.
• Manage scope, vendor selection, and vendor management from RFP through design, installation, and final invoicing.
• Coordinate onsite build or installation with internal and external partners.
• Manage development and management of project budget.
• Oversee elements such as material handling equipment, warehouse and systems.
• Coordinate design, contractor coordination, testing, training, and startup activities.
• Maintain cross-functional coordination with internal teams and vendors.
• Provide timely project status updates and issue reporting.
• Engage with external consultants and vendors; manage contracts and plans.
• Travel up to 50% and maintain proximity to an airport.
