Job summary
Sargent & Lundy is seeking an engineer to lead project teams in electric distribution design. You will prepare and review construction sketches, work packages, and ensure compliance with standards. The role includes field support, system upgrades, and coordination with clients in a hybrid work setting.
Qualified candidates have an ABET-accredited engineering degree and 2+ years in distribution. Strong communication and leadership are essential.
Qualifications
- ABET-accredited engineering degree is required.
- Two or more years of experience in electric utility distribution or equivalent review experience.
- Knowledgeable in distribution design methods and their applications.
- Proficient with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, PoleForeman and related software.
- Familiarity with NESC, NEC, ANSI, IEEE and GIS/GWD standards.
- Strong communication skills and ability to lead a project team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare/review construction sketches and work packages for distribution facilities.
- Support preliminary project scoping and field work when needed.
- Support maintenance and recapitalization of distribution components.
- Plan modifications and oversee complex tasks in the system.
- Provide construction support and client communication when required.
