Job summary

NC State Dining at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC seeks a Lead Dishwasher to supervise and mentor student staff while maintaining high sanitation standards across the dining operation. The role involves operating commercial dishwashing equipment, training temporary staff, ensuring cleanliness, and supporting scheduling and timekeeping to keep the kitchen running smoothly.

Requires physical stamina and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced campus

Qualifications

Minimum Experience/Education: Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
Some positions may require certification by the Department of Correction.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain commercial dishwashing equipment while ensuring proper sanitation and safety standards.
Lead, train, and supervise temporary staff and student employees, assigning tasks and supporting daily operational goals.
Maintain cleanliness throughout kitchen, dining, storage, and waste disposal areas, including routine cleaning duties.
Monitor facility equipment, tables, chairs, and work areas to ensure a safe, clean, and guest-ready environment.
Anticipate and resolve service issues, assist with stocking supplies, and support scheduling and timekeeping processes to maintain efficient operations.
