Job summary

Alexion is seeking a Lead, Disease State Training to drive and execute a comprehensive disease state training strategy for US Field Commercial Roles. The role blends strategic design with hands‑on execution to strengthen field readiness, clinical knowledge, and commercial effectiveness.

The incumbent will build onboarding, advanced development, launch readiness, and ongoing capability programs across cross‑functional teams, balancing scientific rigor with practical, scalable learning solutions.

Qualifications

• RN required.
• A minimum of 6-10 years of pharmaceutical industry experience.
• Experience in training, commercial learning, sales training, disease state education, field capability building, or biopharmaceutical learning and development.
• Experience supporting and executing training plans or roadmaps aligning learning investments to business priorities and measurable outcomes.
• Strong experience supporting Field Commercial Roles with training solutions that improve disease state knowledge, customer engagement readiness, and field effectiveness.
• Experience working cross‑functionally with stakeholders such as Commercial, Medical, Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Regulatory, Marketing, Market Access, and Training teams.
• Ability to translate complex scientific, clinical, and business strategies into practical, engaging, scalable learning solutions.
• Strong multi‑project management, stakeholder management, and execution discipline.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills; able to influence at multiple levels.
• Experience developing training content using PowerPoint, Word, and Excel; delivering virtual training via Zoom/Microsoft Teams; managing content in LMS.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, solve problems proactively, and navigate ambiguity.
• Strong organizational judgment and professionalism in handling sensitive issues.
• Understanding of adult learning principles, training effectiveness, and compliant learning in regulated pharma.

Responsibilities

• Support disease state training strategy and roadmap aligned to business priorities and field capability needs.
• Design, develop, review, facilitate, and improve disease state training materials and learning experiences.
• Create curricula covering disease education, clinical landscape, patient journey, standards of care, and treatment paradigms.
• Identify capability gaps with cross‑functional stakeholders and develop solutions to improve field performance.
• Plan annual learning priorities, timelines, and execution plans.
• Create high‑impact learning experiences across instructor‑led, virtual, self‑directed, and digital formats.
• Ensure field teams are equipped with knowledge to engage customers confidently and compliantly.
• Onboard and train field audiences with structured learning journeys; reinforce core knowledge over time.
• Ensure content aligns with compliance and quality expectations; participate in M/L/R reviews as needed.
• Track training completion and attendance; include Pharmacovigilance training for audit readiness.
• Measure training effectiveness via feedback, field input, assessments; iterate for impact.
