You will mentor staff, participate in onboarding, assist with scheduling, ensure accurate documentation, and support ISPs and community activities to promote independence and person-centered care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year of experience supporting individuals with IDD preferred.
• Leadership, mentoring, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to coach and support coworkers in a professional manner.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with teams.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Able to complete required background screenings and trainings.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or obtainable on hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and assistance to individuals with IDD in residential and community settings.
• Serve as a role model and mentor for DSP staff through coaching and training.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new employees.
• Help ensure documentation is completed accurately and timely.
• Monitor the home environment for health, safety, cleanliness, and quality of care.
• Communicate staffing and operational issues to residential leadership.
• Assist with medication administration per policy and state regulations when trained.
• Support ISPs, behavioral plans, and personal outcomes.
• Coordinate and lead community activities promoting independence and choice.
• Assist with scheduling, shift coverage, and other operational needs.
