Job summary

Advocates for Life Skills & Opportunity (ALSO) in Oregon seeks a Lead Direct Support Professional (Lead DSP) for In-Home Services. You will lead in delivering person-centered supports, collaborate with the Services Manager, and grow leadership capabilities while promoting independence and community participation.

The role emphasizes advocacy, training, documentation, and oversight to advance service quality and outcomes for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

• Flexible coverage across day, swing, and graveyard shifts is required.
• Clear, effective written and verbal communication with team, individuals supported, families, and providers.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate strong, supportive connections with people receiving services.
• Train new Direct Support Professionals on essential duties and person-centered practices.
• Ensure proper documentation (MAR, T-Logs, ISP data) is maintained for compliance.
• Assist with hygiene, medical support, skills training, and daily living tasks in home and community.
• Serve as a resource for team members and act as a proxy for Service Managers during absences.
