Job summary

Peraton leads a team modernizing the FAA’s National Airspace System by unifying enterprise architecture, MBSE, and MA&S into a single model-centric discipline. You’ll contribute to the Digital Engineering Environment (DEE) and generate authoritative model content that ties mission needs to verification evidence, translating results for FAA leadership and engineers.

Qualifications

• 5 years with BS/BA; 9 years in lieu of a degree.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise architecture, systems engineering, MBSE, modeling & simulation.
• 2+ years of aviation, FAA, DoD, or comparable mission-critical domain experience.
• Working proficiency modeling in Cameo / MagicDraw using SysML and UAF.
• Working knowledge of DoDAF, UAF, and SysML.
• Basic understanding of requirements engineering lifecycle.
• Familiarity with networking, cybersecurity, data, cloud, distributed systems.
• Proficiency with MS Office; BI platforms (Power BI/Power Automate/Power Apps) or similar.
• Strong technical writing, editing, and stakeholder communications.
• U.S. Citizenship; ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the Digital Engineering Environment, modeling NAS architectures.
• Apply UAF, SysML, DoDAF, and MBSE to model capabilities, systems, interfaces, and info exchanges.
• Support model-based CONOPS, mission threads, and operational scenarios.
• Generate DoDAF/UAF views, interface descriptions, matrices, and reports from the model.
• Perform architecture analysis to identify dependencies, gaps, risks, and impacts.
• Support model-based trade studies and analyses of alternatives.
• Contribute to reusable model libraries and model governance.
• Support integration with Jama Connect or DOORS for traceability.
• Support Architecture Review Boards with model-based evidence.
• Produce technical writing and records aligned to the model.
• Collaborate across cybersecurity, software, cloud, data, test, CM, safety, and programs.
• Translate model-derived analysis into mission/business impacts for leadership.
• Publish model content through Cameo Collaborator and DEE dashboards.
