Job summary

Peraton in Herndon, VA is seeking Lead Associate Digital Architecture & Modeling Engineers to modernize the FAA NAS under BNATCS. You will model in Cameo/MagicDraw, apply SysML/UAF MBSE practices, and translate results for FAA leadership and engineers under mentor guidance.

You will collaborate across cybersecurity, software, cloud, data, test, CM, safety, and program teams, producing technical writing and model-based evidence for governance and decision making.

Qualifications

• 5 years with BS/BA; 9 years in lieu of degree.
• 4+ years in enterprise architecture, MBSE, modeling & simulation, or related.
• 2+ years aviation/FAA/DoD domain experience.
• Cameo / MagicDraw (SysML/UAF) modeling experience.
• DoDAF, UAF, SysML familiarity.
• Requirements engineering basics and verification lifecycle.
• Networking, cybersecurity, data, cloud, distributed systems familiarity.
• MS Office; BI tooling like Power BI or similar.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to NAS architectures across current, transition, and target states.
• Model with Cameo / MagicDraw using SysML and UAF; run analyses.
• Support model-based CONOPS, mission threads, and scenarios.
• Generate DoDAF / UAF views, interface descriptions, and reports.
• Identify dependencies, gaps, risks, and mission impacts.
• Support MBSE trade studies and analyses of alternatives.
• Develop reusable model libraries and governance rules.
• Integrate with Jama Connect or DOORS for traceability.
• Support Architecture Review Boards with model-based evidence.
• Publish model content through DEE dashboards and reports.
