The Aerospace Corporation seeks a Senior Engineering Specialist focused on Digital and Systems Engineering to lead MBSE and DE R&D initiatives across the full lifecycle, ensuring best practices and industry alignment. You will mentor teams, advance descriptive models, and drive innovation to meet aerospace and defense objectives.

You will collaborate with program offices and ETG organizations, publish technical material, and represent Aerospace in standards groups, while traveling

Qualifications

BS in an engineering discipline (Aerospace, Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.) or related field.
12+ years in three or more systems engineering areas with 5+ years in MBSE/DE.
Proficiency in MBSE tools: Cameo, Sparx EA, IBM Rhapsody.

Responsibilities

Plan, execute, and lead MBSE/DE R&D initiatives and projects across the lifecycle.
Provide oversight of teams using SysML/UAFML/BPMN and industry tools.
Collaborate with software, hardware, and domain experts to model systems.
Publish papers, presentations, and training materials on MBSE topics.
