Job summary

Qualifications

• 3+ years diesel experience.
• 1 year experience in the waste industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to explain troubleshooting procedures for hydraulic, electrical, mechanical and pneumatic components.
• Read safety labels and warnings.

Responsibilities

• Perform failure analysis and report findings to maintenance management.
• Lead other personnel in diagnosis and replacement of components.
• Train new hires on data maintenance software and shop policies.
• Audit work leaving the shop to maintain Quality Control.
• Maintain Quality Assurance by ensuring repairs follow procedures.
• Triage workload and assign work orders in absence of shift supervisor.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections with timely follow-ups.
• Diagnose and replace components on Class 8 trucks.
• Participate in root cause analysis.
• Wear PPE as required and report safety violations.
• Comply with safety policies and regulations.
