Job summary

WIN Waste Innovations is seeking a Lead Diesel Mechanic to operate under limited supervision, repairing and maintaining our fleet of vehicles.

The role includes troubleshooting, reading vehicle condition reports, communicating maintenance needs, and ensuring paperwork is accurate. You will mentor junior technicians and uphold a safe, collaborative work environment in accordance with OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Equivalent of a high school diploma or GED and 4 years of related equipment maintenance and repair; OR 6 years of related equipment maintenance and repair.
• Valid driver license.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Reads and interprets Vehicle Condition Reports and repair orders.
• Communicates with supervisor and equipment operators for clarification of maintenance needs.
• Completes paperwork associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounts for applied times.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA and organizational standards.
• Trains and develops junior technicians.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
• Maintain positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers and management.

Education
