Job summary

Texas Disposal Systems is seeking a Lead Technician to perform maintenance on company assets, lead diagnosis and component replacement, and train new hires while ensuring quality control and adherence to safety policies.

The role involves supervision in the absence of the shop supervisor, overhauling minor components, and using electrical, hydraulic, and computer diagnostics to manage scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. Texas-based, with a focus on PPE and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• At least 3 or more years of diesel experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in the waste industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to explain troubleshooting procedure for hydraulic, electrical, mechanical and pneumatic components.

Responsibilities

• Perform failure analysis and report findings to maintenance management.
• Lead other personnel in the diagnosis and replacement of components.
• Train new hires on data maintenance software and shop policies and procedures.
