Job summary

CrossCountry Freight Solutions seeks a Diesel Technician Lead to inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel vehicles and machinery. You will run tests, identify failures, and perform complex repairs, directing other technicians to ensure safe, efficient operation.

Responsibilities include DOT inspections, equipment testing, and advising on repair-related decisions. A CDL is a plus; on-site role with a Monday–Friday shift and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Completion of a certificate program or technical training in mechanics and truck repair preferred.
• 5 years or more of professional, progressive experience as a diesel technician.
• Excellent interpersonal, organization, logistics, math, and communication skills.
• Ability to recognize vehicle maintenance problems.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and repairs on company vehicles and machines.
• Diagnose and repair with diagnostic equipment and wiring schematics.
• Test drive vehicles to verify repairs.
• Diagnose and replace parts, valves, bearings, assemblies as needed.
• Provide guidance and support to team members on repairs.
• Ensure repairs meet factory specifications and safety standards.
