Job summary

CrossCountry Freight Solutions, Inc. in Dallas, TX is seeking a Diesel Technician Lead to inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel-powered vehicles and machines. You will run diagnostics, guide teammates, and provide repair-related advice to ensure safety and operational efficiency.

The role demands DOT inspections, use of diagnostic computers, and experience with transmissions, A/C systems, and trailer knowledge. Monday–Friday, non-exempt, with a signing bonus.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED and be able to complete a mechanic/truck repair certificate program or technical training.
• Five-plus years as a diesel technician with progressive responsibilities.
• Strong math, organization, and communication skills are required.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local vehicle regulations is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and repairs on company vehicles and machines.
• Use hand tools and powered equipment (wrenches, welding gear, hoists) to repair trucks with safety.
• Diagnose malfunctions using diagnostic equipment and wiring diagrams and complete repairs.
• Test drive vehicles to verify repairs and identify issues.
• Diagnose and replace parts, valves, bearings, assemblies, and systems including heating and A/C.
• Apply diesel emissions knowledge to repair issues accurately.
• Ensure parts meet factory specs by checking clearances and dimensions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
