Job summary

CrossCountry Freight Solutions is seeking a Diesel Technician Lead in Dallas, TX. This safety-sensitive, non-exempt role inspects, diagnoses, and repairs diesel-powered vehicles and machinery, including transmissions and third member assemblies, under the supervision of the Fleet Manager.

You will guide team members, perform DOT inspections, use diagnostic computers and tools, and ensure equipment meets factory specs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 5+ years of professional diesel technician experience.
• Proficient with diagnostic computers and safety procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and repairs on company vehicles.
• Use tools and equipment to repair trucks safely.
• Diagnose malfunctions using diagnostic equipment and wiring schematics.
• Test drive vehicles to verify repairs.
• Replace parts and assemblies as needed.
• Guide and mentor team members; ensure safe operations.
