SRM Concrete is seeking a hands-on Shop Manager / Diesel Mechanic who leads by example, mentors a team, and keeps our fleet of diesel trucks, mixers, and heavy equipment running at peak performance. This working manager role oversees shop operations, safety, and scheduling, while you perform repairs, diagnose issues with diagnostic tools, and stay current on the latest diesel engine technologies.

You’ll work side-by-side with your team to get the job done, ensuring reliability and on-time

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical diesel repair certification is a plus.
• Proven experience as Diesel Mechanic, Shop Manager, or Lead Technician.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and mentor mechanics and shop staff, driving safety, efficiency and quality.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify problems and determine best solutions.
• Schedule maintenance with operations to minimize downtime and keep the fleet delivery-ready.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repairs.
• Stay current on diesel engine technology and repair techniques.
• Hands-on role: work alongside the team to get the job done.
