SRM Concrete is seeking a Shop Manager / Diesel Mechanic to lead a team of mechanics, oversee day-to-day shop operations, mentor staff, and perform repairs on diesel-powered trucks, mixers, and heavy equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational or technical certification in diesel engine repair is a plus.
• CDL preferred or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of mechanics and shop staff, setting safety and efficiency standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify problems and determine solutions.
• Rebuild or replace major diesel engine components.
• Coordinate with operations to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies in the shop and on job sites.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance and repairs.
• Stay updated on diesel engine technology and best practices.
• Collaborate with team to complete tasks hands-on.
