Job summary

SRM Concrete is seeking a hands-on Shop Manager to lead a shop of diesel mechanics and maintain our fleet of trucks, mixers, and heavy equipment. You will mentor your team, oversee maintenance, and perform repairs while setting safety and quality standards.

In this working manager role, you’ll schedule maintenance, document work, stay current with diesel technology, and collaborate with operations to keep our fleet delivery-ready.

Qualifications

• Hands-on leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Experience with diagnostics and repairs of diesel vehicles and heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of mechanics and shop staff, setting safety and quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on diesel vehicles and heavy machinery.
• Schedule maintenance with operations to minimize downtime and keep fleet delivery-ready.
• Maintain thorough records of maintenance and repairs and stay current with industry practices.
