Job summary

gpac seeks a skilled Lead Diesel Mechanic in Atlanta, GA to maintain and repair diesel-powered fleet vehicles. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safety standards across a busy workshop.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of diesel experience, ASE certification preferred, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with the maintenance team. This full-time role offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; technical diesel cert is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of diesel mechanic experience, fleet or heavy equipment preferred.
• Ability to diagnose issues, read manuals and operate diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and identify root causes with diagnostic tools.
• Repair engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems and related components.
• Implement preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend fleet life.
• Ensure safety policies are followed and document work performed.
