Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. seeks a Level A or B Diesel Mechanic to keep our fleet on the road. You will diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain heavy‑duty trucks and rolling stock using your own tools and the latest industry technologies.

Based in Warner Robins, GA, this on-site role requires a HS diploma or GED, 1+ year of diesel experience, and the ability to pass safety screenings. We offer mentorship, ongoing skill development, and a collaborative shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Technical/Trade School preferred.
• Minimum 1+ year hands-on diesel mechanic experience (Level B), with Level A diagnostic capability.
• Experience with computerized diagnostic software and shop management software.
• Must possess and maintain own tool set for heavy-duty repairs.
• Must meet safety-sensitive criteria and pass pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heavy‑duty diesel, CNG, gas, and electric trucks and equipment.
• Plan and schedule repairs using the M5 planner system; procure parts; complete daily reports.
• Review equipment write-ups, coordinate shop repair schedules, maintain readiness.
• Maintain safe working conditions and comply with regulations; keep a clean work area.
• Mentor and train shop staff; develop skills on latest technologies.
• Use personal tools to perform hydraulic, engine, and structural maintenance.
