GFL Environmental is seeking an experienced diesel/CNG mechanic to diagnose, repair and maintain our fleet. You will lead inspections, mentor junior mechanics, and coordinate repair schedules to keep vehicles road-ready.

The role requires a CDL (A or B) or the ability to obtain one within six months, ASE certifications, and 5+ years of diesel/CNG maintenance experience. You will work on safety-critical systems and support continuous operations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DOT/OSHA regulations and safety standards.
• Brake safety certificate and 609 A/C system certification are required.
• ASE certifications demonstrate certified expertise in diesel service.
• Experience diagnosing with diagnostic software and reading schematics.
• Class A or B CDL or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 5+ years of diesel/CNG maintenance experience.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose and repair diesel and CNG powered trucks, engines, and systems.
• Lead inspections of brakes, emissions, steering, and related components.
• Mentor level B and C mechanics and coordinate repairs.
• Prioritize repairs for efficiency and timely work orders.
• Oversee review of write-ups and repair scheduling.
• Perform DOT and brake inspections on all vehicles.
• Complete reports, orders, and parts requests daily.
• Ensure safety compliance and maintain a clean work area.
• Interpret electrical and diagnostic schematics and participate in training.
• Operate computer systems and diagnostic software as required.
