Job summary

BD is seeking a Product Development Engineer to drive manufacturing processes and assembly strategies for new product introductions. You will collaborate with R&D, operations, and cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability, quality, and scalability in a highly regulated environment.

The role emphasizes DFMA, process development, and technical leadership to deliver robust manufacturing solutions and successful product launches.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, Chemical or related field with 10+ years of experience, or Master’s/MBA with 8+ years.
5+ years in advanced manufacturing engineering, product design, or technical leadership, preferably in regulated industries.
Proven DFMA application to product/process development and industrialization initiatives.

Responsibilities

Lead DFMA strategy for new products and design changes for manufacturability and transfer to manufacturing.
Develop scalable manufacturing processes, equipment concepts, and assembly methods for new products.
Provide technical leadership for cross-functional teams and conduct process reviews.
Support verification/validation activities and develop design control documentation.
