Job summary

VTG is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer in Chantilly, VA to lead and deliver modern ICAM solutions on a large program. You will design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines, manage containerized apps with Docker/Kubernetes (EKS/ECS), and automate cloud infrastructure using AWS services.

On-call rotation ensures mission-critical services stay up 24/7/365. The role requires 11–15 years of relevant experience, a TS/SCI with Poly, and expert Linux skills, along with strong communication to

Qualifications

Requires active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
Bachelor's degree required with 11–15 years of relevant experience.
Expert-level Linux operating system experience.
Expert knowledge of SDLC and DevOps practices.
Experience in Agile development environments and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard DevOps tools.
Develop, maintain, and support automated build, deployment, and release processes.
Administer and support Linux-based environments.
Utilize DevOps tools including Jenkins, GitHub, Rundeck, and Nexus to support software development and deployment activities.
Support the full SDLC using DevOps best practices.
Utilize testing and performance tools such as JUnit to ensure quality.
Develop scripts and automate infrastructure using AWS services (CloudFormation, EC2, S3, RDS, VPC).
Build, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, and ECS.
