Job summary

QTS Data Centers is seeking a Development Project Manager to lead design, preconstruction and construction activities on campus projects. You will coordinate with Facilities, Contractors, Designers, Engineers, and Data Center Operations to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with rigorous governance.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering, 5+ years in commercial construction delivery (Design-Build, CM@Risk), and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Five or more years of professional experience in commercial construction practices and procedures, including management of Lump Sum, Construction Management at Risk, and Design Build project delivery methods from conceptual development through procurement to close out.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint for communicating program updates to executive level, and Excel to create and maintain site program and individual project budgets.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects on a campus and maintain updated budgets, schedules, and status reports for each.
• Maintain daily interface with the tenant emphasizing the importance of building and maintaining a strong developer-client partnership.
• Create and communicate updates on development program and project status for executive reviews.
• Work with stakeholders, design, and construction teams to create a master development program for site(s).
• Manage entitlement and permitting needs for each assigned site project(s).
• Implement and manage multi-phased site development plans to achieve time, budget, and quality standards.
