Job summary

Rivian is seeking a systems-minded designer to scale design across vehicle, mobile, and web platforms. You will define the structure and language of a unified digital ecosystem, enabling teams to build cohesive, brand-aligned experiences with velocity and confidence.

You will architect reusable frameworks, drive cross-functional collaboration with Product and Engineering, and mentor the team on advanced design infrastructure. A deep mastery of Figma and accessibility is essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience crafting user-centered digital products.
• At least 3 years building design systems, frameworks, or cross-platform consistency.
• Expert-level mastery of Figma, components, variants, tokens, and organized files.
• Ability to abstract complexity into modular, scalable design solutions.

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable UI frameworks powering in-vehicle, mobile, and web experiences.
• Create modular patterns that preserve brand integrity across platforms.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to align visual frameworks with architecture.
• Build and maintain pattern libraries in Figma with clear specs and rationale.
• Prototype and test complex systems with Figma or ProtoPie to validate interactions.
• Establish design standards, versioning, and feedback loops for scale.
• Champion accessibility, localization, and performance for global users.
• Mentor peers and the L5 team on advanced design infrastructure for velocity.
