Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Senior Manager, Web Product Design to lead the Digital Studio's web product design team. You will shape customer experiences across Rivian.com and the Gear Shop, guiding brand storytelling, commerce flows, and end-to-end UX strategy on a global platform.

Based in Irvine, this hybrid role demands 8–10+ years in digital product design, strong leadership of design teams, and expertise in ecommerce, research, and cross-functional collaboration with fast-paced delivery.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years in digital product design for complex web platforms.
• 3+ years in direct management of product design teams.
• Deep expertise in ecommerce experiences and checkout flows.
• A strong portfolio showing art direction, strategy, and measurable impact.
• Experience localizing direct-to-consumer purchases across regions.
• Excellent presentation and stakeholder influencing skills.
• Strong knowledge of modern design tooling and systems.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing web design team (4–6).
• Define user problems, opportunities, and priorities for Rivian’s web platform.
• Drive roadmaps, planning, and resource allocation with partners.
• Collaborate across Rivian’s design, commercial, service, and brand teams.
• Oversee multiple workstreams from initiation to release.
• Frame design challenges with strategic briefs and vision.
• Champion user research, A/B testing, and analytics-driven decisions.
• Present vision and strategy to leadership and stakeholders.
