Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal/Sr Principal Design Engineer to support Sentinel infrastructure design efforts from Roy, Utah. You will lead design, modeling, and integration for facility releases across launch facilities and test centers, coordinating artifact deliveries and ensuring code compliance.

The role requires Civil/Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical design experience on major projects, DoD security clearances, and strong communication skills for working with government and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Science/Engineering with 5+ years' experience; or 3 years with a Master's; or 1 year with a PhD.
• Sr. Principal: 8+ years' experience; 6+ with Master's; 4 with PhD.
• U.S. citizen able to obtain DoD Secret clearance and SAP clearance.
• Experience in Civil/Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical design on MILCON or major infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and related standards.
• Proficient with MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint and scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate facility design artifact releases with stakeholders.
• Interpret and verify industry standards, codes for deliverables.
• Participate in project design/model reviews.
• Review subcontractor designs for quality and standards compliance.
• Support delivery of Construction Drawings, TDPs, IFC packages, PDPs, interfaces.
• Support structured trade studies to resolve technical issues.
• Develop and present design change requests with stakeholders.
• Develop facility designs meeting codes and regulations.
