Job summary
Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal/Sr. Principal Structural Engineer to support Sentinel facilities from Manhattan Beach, CA or Roy, UT. You will lead civil/structural design for launch infrastructure, modeling, and integration efforts within INF.
This role requires DoD clearance and US citizenship, with a 9/80 work schedule and potential relocation support. The position involves coordinating with systems engineering, reviewing complex structural designs, and delivering IFC
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science or STEM required; advanced degrees preferred.
- US citizenship and ability to obtain DoD clearance.
- Experience in structural analysis of aerospace structures is preferred.
- Knowledge of UFC, MIL-STD, and related codes.
- Experience reviewing structural calculations and construction drawings.
Responsibilities
- Oversee civil/structural design for Sentinel infrastructure and facilities.
- Coordinate with systems engineering and other disciplines.
- Review subcontractor designs for compliance with standards.
- Deliver Civil/Structural facility design data packages and IFCs.
- Develop and present design change requests and manage baselines.
