Job summary

Stantec’s Tampa office seeks a Senior Building Designer to lead integrated design teams through project design, from validation to construction administration, under the Principal in Charge. You’ll advocate for design excellence, coordinate with PMs and Project Architects, and manage multiple projects as needed.

You will guide design quality, develop concepts with client requirements, and ensure documentation maintains design intent across phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of design experience in a consulting environment.
• LEED Green Associate or LEED AP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be the face representing Stantec’s design excellence.
• Inspires creativity and design excellence within the team and with clients.
• Conceptualizes building design from functional and aesthetic perspectives per client requirements.
• Develops design through sketches, BIM models, diagrams, and massing studies to communicate intent.
• Presents design to stakeholders and ensures design intent meets budget and schedule.
• Coordinate building systems to align with design intent and sustainable principles.
