Job summary

Mattel is seeking a Lead Demand Planner to develop and maintain demand plans for Ventures projects from early commercialization through launch and scale. You will build scenario-based forecasts using multiple data sources and translate them into inventory requirements while partnering across Ventures, Sales, Marketing, Finance and more.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years’ (or MBA with 3 years) of related experience.
• Thorough understanding of inventory management.
• Proven experience in demand planning and forecasting.
• Strong understanding in data analysis and statistics.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience gathering and documenting process and tool requirements.
• Comfortable moderating meetings, delivering oral presentations and training to large groups; strong communication skills to deliver business updates and influence decisions.
• Demonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning.

Responsibilities

• Demand Planning and Forecasting: develop demand plans for Ventures projects and build scenarios.
• Launch and Commercialization Planning: translate route-to-market strategies into launch volumes and inventories.
• Analytics and Rapid Learning: monitor signals and update forecasts as the business learns.
• Financial and Business Acumen: connect demand scenarios to revenue, margin, and working capital.
• Collaboration and Influence: work with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Process Development and Transition: establish repeatable demand-planning processes and transitions.
