Job summary

Meijer is seeking an experienced store leader to oversee day-to-day operations, staffing, and customer service in a Michigan-area store. You will mentor team members, manage scheduling, and drive sales while upholding company standards.

The role includes developing talent, planning succession, and ensuring training compliance. Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills are essential to maintain a positive work environment and meet performance goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store such as meat, bakery, produce and deli; also customer service and product flow experience is helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate to team members with clear and precise direction.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts and address root cause issues.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information and use that information to make informed decisions.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet customer service and sales goals.
• Ensure staffing and hiring to meet store needs.
• Promote career paths and development within the team.
